In 1977, we:

    * Were organized as a public corporation under Housing Authority Law of the State of Oregon (ORS Chapter 456)

    * Were created as a housing authority by resolution in Deschutes and Jefferson counties to address lower income housing needs

    * Provided housing assistance to Crook County residents by invitation only

    * Owned 48 units of affordable housing

Today, we

    * Were re-created in 2001 by formal resolution to be the housing authority for Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties, enabling us to serve the tri-county region

    * Serve approximately 1,600 families

    * Are the leading provider of affordable housing throughout the region with an inventory of hundreds of units available in award-winning developments and a development pipeline extending years into the future

    * Continue to pursue development opportunities to fulfill community identified needs in the incorporated cities and towns within the region

“Thanks to a strong community effort our Dreams Came True! I moved into my own home in the same neighborhood as my parents.”
