Our Rental Assistance program is a partnership between HUD, Housing Works,
and central Oregon landlords
|

There are many benefits for landlords participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, including:
On time, reliable rental payments— Housing Works pays a set portion of your tenant’s
rent directly to you on the first of each month. The renter pays the difference. Lower your turnovers— While tenants can move with a voucher, they must sign a one year
lease with you. Many voucher holders become long-term, dependable residents. Annual Inspections— At least annually, the unit is inspected to ensure that it
meets our Housing Quality Standards (HQS). HQS is part of our commitment to provide
safe, sanitary and affordable housing to our participants. Maintain standard charges and fees— You can charge security deposits and late
fees as long as they are consistent with charges made to private market renters.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program, a tenant-based rental program for very low income people,
enables participants to rent from private landlords with rental assistance administered
by Housing Works.
