Housing Works has purchased it's first two bank-owned homes utilizing the Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds and is rapidly completing the rehabilitation work. The homes will be made available to households with income under 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). For a family of four in Deschutes County, 80% of the AMI is $50,800.
The qualifying home buyer will purchase the home and lease the land through Housing Works' Ground Lease Program. Removing the cost of the land from the equation allows homeownership to be attainable for a family that otherwise would not be able to purchase their own home.
